Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has been quoted as saying by The Daily Record that it can be tough playing at Ibrox when the team are 1-0 down.

Windass has stated that he loves playing for Rangers at Ibrox, but the 24-year-old midfielder has conceded that it is hard when the Gers are 1-0 down to lesser sides.

The Daily Record quotes Windass as saying: “It’s unbelievable playing in front of 50,000 people from what I was used to at my last club so yeah I’m enjoying it.

“You can play well all you like when everyone’s cheering you on but as soon as it goes against you it’s obviously … hard when you’re 1-0 down against the lesser teams and the crowd are on your back.

“In the same token when you’re doing well obviously it’s the best atmosphere in the world playing for Rangers.”

Home form worries

Windass may have found the answer to Rangers’ poor form at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Graeme Murty’s side have won seven matches and lost seven games in the Scottish Premiership at home so far this campaign.

It is clearly a bad record and a key reason why the Gers are not in the Scottish Premiership title race.

While one can understand the pressure and demands of the Rangers fans, the Ibrox faithful need to be behind their team when they are trailing at home.

Windass’s comments should make the Rangers fans think about their approach at Ibrox when the team are not playing well or are a goal down.
