Rossiter and Windass both scored for Rangers against Hibernian at Ibrox on Sunday.

Rangers attacker Josh Windass has paid homage to injury-plagued midfielder Jordan Rossiter after the latter finally made his return to the Gers first team – and scored his first goal for the club.
Watched on by Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson, the Light Blues failed to finish second despite coming from 3-0 down to lead 4-3 against Hibernian on Sunday – only for the dramatic encounter to end with the scoreline at 5-5.

Goals, sending offs and last-day drama in terms of places in the league table stole the headlines following the crazy result, but perhaps Rossiter’s eventual recovery went under the radar.
The former Liverpool midfielder had failed to play for Rangers since August beforehand, but he returned to score with very calm finish in what was the Gers’ second of five. Windass praised the midfielder on Instagram.
Rossiter was a surprise inclusion in the starting eleven for Rangers, though injuries to Graham Dorrans and Ryan Jack as well as the suspension of Ross McCrorie had left the Gers light in the middle of the park.
He was replaced in the 68th minute of the match by Lee Hodson, as Bruno Alves scored the pick of Rangers’ five goals with an exquisite free-kick. Windass, James Tavernier, Rossiter and Jason Holt also found the back of the net.
Signed by Mark Warburton for a development fee of £250,000, according to the Daily Record, Rossiter will now be hoping to remain injury free this summer and put his demons behind him ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
