The summer signing is recovering from a minor injury.
Josh Windass
Rangers new boy Josh Windass has spoken of his desire to feature against Hamilton next week after being sidelined with injury, in an interview with the club’s official site.
The 22-year old made a strong start to his Gers career but was struck down by a hamstring injury in the recent win over East Stirlingshire.
“I’m hoping I’m involved against Hamilton but the injury I have had and missing these two games might impact it but you never know what the gaffer is thinking so it depends,” said Windass.

“Everyone wants to be part of the first game and whether I am part of it or not I don’t know yet so I’d like to have a good week of training that week and try and force myself into the squad.
“The squad was doing quite well with me in it but the team the gaffer puts out is always capable of winning games no matter who plays,” he added.

The dynamic midfielder arrived earlier this summer from Accrington Stanley – alongside Matt Crooks – in somewhat controversial fashion, with the League Two club angry at losing two of their best prospects for nominal compensation figures.
Windass started well as Rangers strolled through their League Cup group – winning four games, scoring ten goals and conceding none – and bagged his first goal for the club against East Stirlingshire last week before going off injured.
Niko Kranjcar
Warburton’s men have beaten Stranraer and lost to Burnley in the midfielder’s absence and he will face a tough task to become a first-team regular this season.
Rangers have added Jordan Rossiter, Joey Barton and Nico Kranjcar to an already strong group of central midfielders and Windass will need to quickly find his pre-injury form if he is to force his way in.
