Glasgow Rangers youngster Jamie Barjonas was lauded by the Ibrox faithful.

Josh Windass joined the Rangers supporters on social media in lauding Jamie Barjonas as his loan spell got off to a flyer at the weekend as he scored a stunning long-range strike.
Barjonas would have been forgiven for feeling the pressure heading into his spell at Raith Rovers. He spent the first half of the season on loan at Bury, but did not manage to make much of an impact during his time with the League Two club.
But he looks ready to make up for lost time at Raith after opening his account in style on his debut, which came against Forfar on Saturday. It was Barjonas who broke the deadlock with a superb effort from distance in a game that would ultimately finish 1-1.
The 20-year-old faces a tough task proving a point to Steven Gerrard while he is away given the amount of quality that Rangers boast in the middle of the park. But more moments like that will certainly do his cause the world of good.

And following the goal, Barjonas took to Twitter to comment on scoring. And unsurprisingly, a number of Gers fans were quick to respond, lauding the strike and encouraging the youngster to keep making the most of his time away from Ibrox.
And joining those Rangers supporters in sending Barjonas messages was Windass, who congratulated his former teammate and offered a simple piece of advice.

Here is Barjonas’ tweet, Windass’ reply and the reaction from the Rangers fans…
