Josh Warrington comments on Leeds United’s Gaetano Berardi

Josh Warrington seems to have been impressed with Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi.

British professional boxer and well-known Leeds United fan Josh Warrington has praised Gaetano Berardi on social networking site Twitter.

Warrington has described Leeds defender Berardi as an “animal” following a recent meet-up and throwing some punches at a punch machine.

Important player for Leeds United

Berardi, who is a very versatile footballer and can operate as a right-back, a left-back or a centre-back, is an important player in the current Leeds set-up.

The 30-year-old has played six matches in the Championship for the Whites so far this season, according to WhoScored.

The defender, who has one international cap for the Switzerland football team, will be a key figure for the Whites this season, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side aim to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.

Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Blackburn Rovers away from home at Ewood Park in the Championship and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
