Southampton winger Josh Sims has joined Championship Reading on a season-long loan
Reading have completed the loan signing of Southampton winger Josh Sims in a move which could reignite The Royals poor start to the season.
The 21-year-old has signed for the remainder of the campaign and will likely prove to be a key member of Paul Clement’s struggling side.
Sims will add some much needed pace and trickery into Reading’s side and Clement will be hoping he can hit the ground running. Reading have lost all three Championship games this season, but the club has pulled off a small coup with the capture of Sims.
Agile, technically gifted and with an eye for goal, Sims will likely be a big hit at The Madejski and fans can feel excited about their most recent loan acquisition.
The Southampton graduate has made positive strides since his memorable debut in November 2016, providing an assist inside the first minute and has gone on to make 13 Premier League appearances since. The Yeovil-born man has the potential to light up and excite at Championship level.
