Aston Villa are hopeful of returning to the Premier League.

Aston Villa loanee Josh Onomah has revealed that the club are confident that they can secure promotion to the Premier League this season.
Following the 2-1 victory at home to Sunderland on Tuesday, in which Onomah scored the winner, Villa are in fourth place in the Championship and should they continue to perform in such a manner there is certainly a good chance that they can secure a place in the play-offs.
Onomah, who is on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur, told Villa’s official website: “It’s important that we focus on one game at a time and stick to the plan.
“We’ve believed since the start of the season that with the players we have that we can get promoted.

“We need to keep that going with another three points on Saturday.”
Onomah has certainly played his part for Villa this season, with the talented young midfielder having scored three goals and provided one assist in the Championship so far.
The 20-year-old is highly rated by Tottenham and it will be intriguing to see whether he can make the breakthrough for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the long-term.

For now, however, Onomah is focused on Villa, who are back in action on Saturday when they host Ipswich Town.
Last season was very frustrating for Villa, who ended up finishing in 13th place in the Championship as they found matters difficult following their relegation from the Premier League.
This campaign, though, they have performed with greater cohesion and consistency and hopes are high that their stay in England’s second tier won’t be a lengthy one.
