The Tottenham midfielder reacted with embarrassment to the club’s nostalgic tweet.

Tottenham Hotspur posted a throwback picture on their official Twitter account that managed to pay homage to both a former player and a current first team star.
The club’s social media account uploaded a picture from 2007 of then main man Dimitar Berbatov and Josh Onomah, who would have been nine or ten-years-old.
It caused the 19-year-old, tipped for big things as a member of Mauricio Pochettino’s exciting young team, to tweet an embarrassed reply.
Onomah, who was born in nearby Enfield, is one of a number of graduates to come through the Tottenham academy, and evidently he has had a close association with the Lilywhites for many years.
Berbatov was an outstanding player for Spurs in a three year spell following his move from Bayer Leverkusen. The classy striker linked up superbly with Robbie Keane, with both players featuring in the club’s League Cup win 2008.
The Bulgarian burnt his bridges somewhat with the North London club when he pushed for a move to Manchester United in 2008.
But those that managed to see the 35-year-old shine at White Hart Lane will remember his outstanding technical ability, and a great many of the 46 goals in 102 matches that he scored.
Veteran Berbatov is currently without a club after being released by Greek outfit PAOK in the summer. Onomah, at the other end of his career, scored his first goal for Spurs during a 5-0 win over Gillingham last month, and featured off the bench during the Champions League draw with Berbatov’s old team Leverkusen in midweek.
