Celtic are battling to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah, according to the Irish Sun.
Onomah is a regular in Tottenham’s under-23 team and has made fleeting first team appearances although is yet to establish himself.
He played a key role in England’s under-20 World Cup triumph and a move away on loan to Celtic could be valuable in his progression.

If Onomah did make the move to Celtic, it would surely signify the end for Celtic talent Liam Henderson.
Celtic have a crowded midfield already, with Tom Rogic, Calum McGregor, Nir Bitton, Scott Brown and Kouassi Eboue all competing for positions.

Henderson is available again after a loan spell at Hibernian, but if Onomah arrived he would find it even tougher to establish himself – and it would be an indication from manager Brendan Rodgers that he is not in his plans.
The 21-year-old has now spent two separate loan spell at Hibs in addition to a brief loan at Rosenborg.
The Daily Record reported last month that Celtic would consider letting Henderson leave if the right offer came in.
Onomah’s arrival would make the departure of the Scotland under-21 international inevitable.
