Aston Villa will be without their two most experienced forwards for a while but the Tottenham Hotspur youngster could step up.

Following the news that Aston Villa will be without Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan for some time, their manager Steve Bruce has some decisions to make regarding his striking options.
Kodjia’s latest setback is a major blow for a Villa side looking on course for a sustained promotion push and they need to ensure they maintain their current form heading into the busy Christmas and New Year period.

Young forward Keinan Davis has just become even more important but he cannot be expected to do it all on his own, and Villa loanee Josh Onomah has the talent to play even further forward and add more goals to his game.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder certainly knows where the goal is, as his latest strike against Sunderland proved, and with three for Villa to date it is time he proved his worth, both to his temporary side and his parent club.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be keeping a very close eye on Onomah in the weeks ahead, with Villa’s situation the ideal chance for the 20-year-old to step up and prove he can cut it when the chips are down.
If he can form an effective partnership with Davis, Villa could maintain their promotion-chasing form and Onomah could ultimately save his Tottenham career in the process.
