Ryan Kent of Rangers
McPake has been impressed with Kent, who joined Rangers on loan from Liverpool in the Premier League in the summer of 2018.
The 17-year-old winger has said that he is following the 22-year-old winger in training, and that he is trying to learn from him.
The teenager has also expressed his desire to break into the Rangers first team.
McPake told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I have been round training with them this season and I was part of the match prep for the St Johnstone game at Ibrox.
“I have had a taste of it and hopefully I get more opportunities like that to show what I am about.”
The youngster added: “I love watching Ryan Kent in training and in games, I think we have got similar playing styles and we play in similar positions.
“The way he plays the game is the way I try and play so he is someone that I try and look up to when I am round there.
“My game is about being tricky and creative and being direct to help the team get goals and assists. I watch Ryan and try and take on board what he does in sessions and games.”

Encouraging progress
Kent has been superb for Rangers so far this season and has established himself as an important player in manager Steven Gerrard’s team.
