Josh Kroenke, the son of Arsenal owner Stan, has sent a message to the club’s fanbase.

Up to 14 different Arsenal Supporters Groups came together and issued a joint statement expressing their frustration at the US-based billionaire.

It has been a disappointing summer for the Gunners on the transfer front, with 18-year-old Brazilian prospect Gabriel Martinelli their only addition so far.

Plenty others have been linked, however, and Kroenke’s has told the irked supporters to ‘be excited’.

Speaking Arsenal’s official website, the 39-year-old said: “I would say ‘be excited’. There are a few things that I know our group are working on, and a few things we hopefully have on the doorstep.

“Nothing is ever a done deal until it’s a done deal, obviously, but we know we have key areas we want to address in our squad, both now and in the future.”

Dani Ceballos is reported by AS to be just one step away from joining the North Londoners, who are also reportedly set to make a third offer for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Gunners have a number of logs on the fire it appears and in light of Kroenke’s statement, there is now major pressure on the club to deliver exciting news.
