Joseph Yobo has stated on social networking site Twitter that it is frightening that Everton are in the Premier League bottom three at the moment.

Everton are currently third from bottom in the standings with just eight points from 10 matches.

The Toffees were expected to push for a top-six spot and perhaps even launch a challenge for the Champions League places at the start of the season.

However, the Merseyside outfit have struggled to do that, and there is a danger that they could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Former Everton defender Yobo has given his take on the situation at Goodison Park on Twitter.

The 37-year-old former Nigeria international has stated that it is frightening that the Toffees are in the bottom three.

Earlier this month, Yobo also suggested that David Moyes would be a good managerial appointment for the Toffees.

Moyes, who is without a managerial job at the moment, was in charge of Everton from 2002 until 2013.
