Joseph Yobo has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Everton’s win against Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.

Everton continued their strong start to the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Stoke at home in the Premier League.

An own goal from Shay Given six minutes into the second half proved to be the difference between the Toffees and the Potters at Goodison Park.

Former Everton defender Yobo was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Ronald Koeman’s side.

Chris Sutton, who played for Celtic and Chelsea among other clubs during his career, was also following the game, and the former striker has praised Everton’s display on Twitter.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Everton had 55% of the possession, took 21 shots of which nine were on target, and earned nine corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Stoke had 45% of the possession, took eight shots of which only one was on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.
