Jose Mourinho has started to be linked with the Arsenal job in recent days.

Jose Mourinho’s past criticism of Matteo Guendouzi is very interesting now, given his links with the Arsenal job.
Emery is coming under increasing pressure, as there is a feeling that Arsenal have made a lack of progress since he took over.
With Mourinho out of work, he is now said to be looking for a job in the Premier League, with the Arsenal job said to appeal.
Mourinho’s appointment at the Emirates Stadium would be extremely intriguing, as he would have a reputation to restore.
And it may be that Mourinho’s arrival wouldn’t be great news for every Arsenal player.
Guendouzi has earned the trust of Emery over the past two seasons, with the French youngster being offered regular game time.
But Mourinho has previously suggested that he sees flaws in Guendouzi’s game.

“Sometimes when I watch matches I am a bit critical – in a good sense, on the coaching side of it – because sometimes I think Guendouzi plays too easy and too many square passes when he can look forward,” he said to Sky Sports back in September, as covered by the Metro.
“His first control normally is immediately for a sideways pass. He played a good game today and this is a great example of what he can do, because he’s a kid with talent.”
Mourinho is not always the finest developer of young talent, but it seems he would immediately have advice to give Guendouzi if he was to take over at Arsenal.
Whether Mourinho would trust Guendouzi to start as regularly as he currently does is very much up for debate, but the comments are certainly interesting now, given his links to the job.
Emery will be able to relieve some of the pressure building on him this weekend, if Arsenal are able to beat Wolves at the Emirates Stadium.
