Leeds United are reportedly keen on Manchester United striker James Wilson.

Leeds United may be in the market for a new striker in January, as The Sun report that they are interested in signing Manchester United forward James Wilson.
The Whites brought in four strikers over the summer, snapping up Caleb Ekuban, Jay-Roy Grot, Pawel Cibicki and Pierre-Michel Lasogga, but manager Thomas Christiansen is still recovering from the loss of last season’s top goalscorer Chris Wood.
With three defeats in a row and just one goal scored in that spell, Leeds could target yet another striker in January, with The Sun claiming that Leeds want to bring in Manchester United’s James Wilson on loan.

Wilson, 21, has come up through the ranks with United, and hit the headlines in May 2014, scoring twice on his full debut against Hull City – but he has failed to kick on since then, and has been recovering from a serious injury since a loan spell with Derby was cut short last season.
With the striker needing playing time, a move to Elland Road makes sense, but United boss Jose Mourinho would be forgiven for putting the kibosh on any planned January move from the Whites.
United sent young full back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on loan to Leeds over the summer, in the hope of getting him some regular first-team football after his disappointing loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers last season.

However, the left back has played just one Championship game this season, recording just 82 minutes of league action in what has been a fairly miserable stint at Elland Road so far for the 20-year-old.
With one of their young talents already struggling at Leeds, Mourinho may well feel that sending another to Elland Road could be a huge mistake, and few would criticise him if he didn’t allow Wilson to make the same move in 2018.
