According to Voetbal 24, Tottenham are interested in signing Marouane Fellaini, who José Mourinho is a big fan of.
The 87-cap Belgium international worked with Mourinho at Manchester United, and it seems like the 58-year-old is keen on a reunion.
Interestingly, the Belgian news outlet claim that Fellaini is ready to terminate his contract with Shandong Taishan and move to Spurs.
The 33-year-old hasn’t kicked a ball this season, as his £10.5 million move to China appears to have turned sour.
While he might be past his best, Fellaini was loved by Mourinho at Old Trafford, and could rediscover a bit of form under the Portuguese coach.
Back in November 2017, the former Real Madrid boss called the ex-Everton man ‘fantastic’ following his display in a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.
The Manchester Evening News quote him as saying: “I don’t want to forget because I really want to do this. I have to say Fellaini was fantastic, for me, for the fellow players, for the fans, for the team, for the club.”

Now, some Tottenham supporters might – understandably – not want to see an ageing Fellaini at their club.
However, if it does end up happening, a crumb of comfort could be taken from the fact that Mourinho will at least know how to get the best out of him.
In 89 games under Mourinho, Fellaini scored 11 goals and recorded five assists as Transfermarkt shows.

Interestingly, Manchester United averaged a respectable 1.97 points per game from those 89 outings.
In this respect, he could become a very useful addition if Mourinho stays, especially on a free transfer.
