Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has told Football.London that Harry Kane will start against West Ham United this weekend.
Kane was away on international duty with England, but the 27-year-old has returned without any injury problems.
Spurs will take on West Ham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Mourinho has made it clear that Kane will start for his team, and has added that Carlos Vinicius, signed on loan from Benfica in the summer transfer window, will be on the substitutes’ bench.
The Portuguese told Football.London: “He (Carlos Vinicius) needs to adapt to the intensity of this work, the intensity of this football, but yes, ready to play.
“So, if you want to know, I can tell you that Harry Kane starts and Vinicius will be on the bench for Sunday.”
Sensible plan
Kane has started the season on fire, and the 27-year-old is scoring goals and creating chances for his teammates.
According to WhoScored, the England international has scored three goals and provided six assists in four league games.
Vinicius is a new arrival, and it would make sense for the 25-year-old to be on the substitutes’ bench for the London Derby against West Ham.
