Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has told BT Sport that Harry Kane and Tanguy Ndombele will start against Arsenal in the North London derby.

Spurs will take on Arsenal away from home at the the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Tottenham will head into the North London derby on the back of a 2-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Europa League.

England international striker Kane suffered an injury and had an ice-pack on his knee for a short period of time after he came off.

France international midfielder Ndombele also picked up an injury, but Mourinho has made it clear that both the players will be fit to start against Arsenal in the North London derby.

Mourinho told BT Sport, as transcribed by The Independent: “No concern [for Ndombele], even Harry I don’t believe it is anything big. It’s a game everyone wants to play on Sunday, little things are not going to stop them playing. I believe they are going to be OK.”

Boost for Tottenham Hotspur

Kane is a big player for Tottenham, and so is Ndombele, and both the players being fit against Arsenal is a massive boost.

The Gunners won in the Europa League on Thursday evening as well and still have a slim chance of making it into the Premier League top four.

Spurs will have to be on top of their game to win the North London derby, and if Kane and Ndombele are fit and available for the Premier League game, then it will enhance their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
