Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has said on Sky Sports (10:14pm, April 16, 2021) that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko played well against Everton.

Mourinho believes that Tottenham midfielders Hojbjerg and Sissoko were very solid in the Premier League game at Goodison Park which ended in a 2-2 draw.

The Spurs boss said on Sky Sports (10:14pm, April 16, 2021): “I think Pierre and Moussa, they were the players that gave us the possibility to compete because they were very solid in midfield.”

Howe did Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko play?

Tottenham were not at their best, and although the North London club were good in the middle of the park on occasions, Everton stars Allan and James Rodriguez seemed to fare much better.

Denmark international midfielder Hojbjerg, 25, got an early yellow card, and that did appear to affect him for the rest of the match.

Although the former Southampton star tried his best, worked hard for the team, and made two tackles and one interception, according to WhoScored, he was far from his best against Everton.

Sissoko did not fare much better than Hojbjerg against Everton at Goodison Park on Friday evening.

According to WhoScored, the France international midfielder did not make a single tackle or interception, but he did make one clearance.
