AS Roma have reportedly made contact to sign Reiss Nelson this summer, with the Arsenal winger currently set to leave the north London club for free at the end of this season.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Giallorossi, alongside Atalanta, have made approaches for the 23-year-old Premier League forward as clubs begin to sound out Nelson over a potential move this summer, with the attacker on course to leave Arsenal for nothing.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the Gunners are working hard to sign Nelson to a new contract. However, growing interest from Premier League teams, and now from Roma, could convince the attacker to leave his boyhood club for greener pastures, where the youngster could play regular football.
With the likes of Chris Smalling, Fikayo Tomori and Ademola Lookman all thriving in Italy, Nelson could easily become the next British-born player to take their talents to Serie A and to make a name for themselves, even if it’s under a manager like Mourinho.

Indeed, the Portuguese manager is a pantomime villain in the world of Arsenal fandom, and whilst Nelson would realistically be a good fit for the former Chelsea and Manchester United man, there could be some scepticism about playing under Mourinho for Roma.
Nevertheless, Nelson has quite the decision to make in the coming weeks, and although staying at Arsenal would be a dream for the winger, the reality is that the forward could be better off moving on to another club where he will be more of a regular, with Roma fitting the bill nicely.
Reiss Nelson could be tempted by Roma move this summer

Italy is slowly becoming one of the go-to destinations for Premier League players looking for a change in scenery, and for Nelson, Roma could prove to be an interesting challenge for the former England youth international if Mourinho can offer the Arsenal man regular football.
The winger has shown this season that he has the quality to perform at any level in Europe, and at a club like Roma where Nelson is expected to be consistently in the starting XI, the 23-year-old could forge a career for himself in the Eternal City, even if it is under a manager like Mourinho.
