Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has praised Gareth Bale for his performance against Burnley today, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Bale scored twice and provided an assist for Tottenham in their 4-0 win against Burnley at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this afternoon.
Mourinho has raved about the Wales international, who returned to Tottenham on loan from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2020.
BBC Sport quotes Mourinho as saying about Bale: “I am very happy for him, very happy for the team because the team needs his talent.
“I am very happy for him because he is quiet, doesn’t speak to you, watches, reads, listens or probably not, because he had all that from Real Madrid, probably ignores it a little bit.
“I am happy because when his condition is good he can do things like today – his game was very good, not just scoring, changing speeds, going inside. I am very happy for him.”

Back in form
Bale is starting to show what he is capable of, and the 31-year-old’s recent performances and form have been very encouraging.
The 31-year-old winger played well against West Ham United after coming on as a substitute in the second half in the Premier League last weekend.
Bale also scored against Wolfsberger in the Europa League last week and helped Spurs book their place in the Round of 16.
According to WhoScored, the winger has scored three goals and provided one assist in seven Europa League starts, and has scored three goals and provided two assists in three Premier League starts for Spurs so far this season.
