Tottenham Hotspur face a tough task against Ajax in the Champions League tonight.

Jose Mourinho was a guest on beIN SPORTS broadcast of the Champions League last night, and delivered his verdict on Tottenham’s hopes of qualifying for the final of the competition, as quoted by the Mirror.
Spurs trail Ajax 1-0 after the first-leg, but they will still be quietly confident of progressing through, especially if they manage to score an early away goal in Amsterdam.
The Dutch side have been quite simply magnificent in the Champions League this season, so Tottenham will have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of winning the game.
Mourinho explained how Spurs still have every chance fo making it through to the final, and singled out Heung-Min Son as a key player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as quoted by the Mirror:

“It’s really, really hard. Looking to the history of the Champions League, Ajax are better away than at home. At home, as I was saying, they have their style of play but so do Tottenham and I think Tottenham knows that they also can [progress]. To play without [Harry] Kane is difficult, to play without Kane and Son [Heung-min] at the same time is even more difficult and next time at least Son is there. He is an aggressive player, he’s fast, he has transitions and he can hurt people so the game is open.”
Tottenham have been in poor form recently, and Pochettino will be hoping that his team can evoke the spirit of their fine performances away from home earlier on in the competition.
Spurs beat Borussia Dortmund away and drew with Barcelona, and they will need to replicate those displays, if they are to make it through to the final of the Champions League in Madrid.
