Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has told The Guardian that Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are world-class players.

However, Mourinho has not said if the two Tottenham attacking players are the best ever duo he has managed in his career.

Mourinho told The Guardian: “I owe so much to my players that I would never say: ‘This is my favourite keeper, this is my favourite centre-back, this is my favourite striker.’ Never. I never do that. I don’t compare players.

“I’m just grateful to players that gave everything for me. Sonny and Kane, without comparing them with other players, they are, I repeat, world-class players. World-class players. I’m not telling anything different than that.”

In form

Kane and Son have been superb for Tottenham so far this season and are banging in the goals for fun.

England international striker Kane is often playing as a number 10 and is providing the assists and creating chances for Son.

According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old England international striker has scored eight goals and provided 10 assists in 11 Premier League matches for Spurs so far this season.

Son, 28, has scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 11 league games for Tottenham so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.

For Tottenham to win the Premier League title this season, both Son and Kane will have to maintain their form.

Spurs started the season aiming to finish in the top four, but now they are genuine challengers for the Premier League title.

Spurs will take on Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park in London in the Premier League on Sunday.
