Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has raved about Tanguy Ndombele to Football.London.

Mourinho has said that he has been pleased with the work that the France international midfielder Ndombele has done in training recently.

The former Chelsea boss has said that the 23-year-old is committed, and that he is ready for the Premier League game against Manchester United on Friday evening.

Mourinho told Football.London about Ndombele: “When he was back to the training ground, he was committed, he worked. I can see he was much more integrated in the group, in the spirit of the group.

“I think he understands more and more what we want from him. So I’m happy with his last couple of weeks where he showed us some of the great qualities that we know that he has. So yes ready for tomorrow.”

Stats

Ndombele, who joined Tottenham from Lyon in the summer of 2019, has made 12 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

The Frenchman has also provided two assists in six Champions League games, and has played twice in the FA Cup for the North London outfit this campaign, according to WhoScored.

Tottenham Hotspur stay

Ndombele has been linked with a move away from Spurs, with The Telegraph reporting in May 2020 that Barcelona are interested in him.

While the 23-year-old has not made a huge impact at Tottenham, he is a very good midfielder who can only get better, and the North London outfit should not give up on the Frenchman after just one season.
