Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho has told Sky Sports that he thinks the Premier League title is ‘done’ after Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday.

Sunday’s meeting at Anfield was seen as a key game, with City already six points behind Jurgen Klopp’s side as they desperately tried to reduce the lead to three points.

However, Pep Guardiola’s injury-hit men suffered a dreadful start, with Fabinho smashing home the opener before Mohamed Salah headed in a second.

Both goals were seen as being contentious, as City had a strong penalty appeal in the build-up to Fabinho’s goal, whilst there were appeals for offside with Salah’s goal.

There was no doubt about Sadio Mane’s second half header though, and whilst Bernardo Silva pulled one back, City were consigned to a 3-1 defeat at Anfield.

City now trail Liverpool by six points, and the chances of a third straight title win appear to be slipping away, and Mourinho has offered his title prediction.

Mourinho suggested that he thinks the title is ‘done’ unless injuries ravage the Liverpool side, believing it’s hard to see Liverpool throwing this lead away.

Mourinho hailed Liverpool as the ‘complete puzzle’, and whilst City can rack up win after win, he’s confident Liverpool will win the title for the first time in the Premier League era.

“From my position I think it’s done unless something dramatic happens in terms of an injury situation that breaks the team,” said Mourinho. “I think the team is the complete puzzle. The way they play is adapted to the qualities of the players. The puzzle is really, really good. City are capable of winning seven, eight, nine in a row but I don’t see how Liverpool can lose this advantage,” he added.
