The Liverpool defender has been in superb form this season.

Jose Mourinho raved about the quality of Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk, when speaking exclusively to RT, labelling the towering centre-back as ‘a king’.
The Dutchman, 27, joined the Reds in January 2018 from Southampton for around £75 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to establish himself as arguably the world’s best central defender.
Van Dijk has totally transformed Liverpool since his arrival at Anfield, and he played a major role in them lifting the European Cup for the sixth time in their history.
The 27-year-old is being backed to win this year’s Ballon d’Or after an imperious campaign, with his only real challenger for the prestigious honour being Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Mourinho raved about the Liverpool centre-back, when speaking exclusively to RT, praising his personality and positional sense:

“Van Dijk is a king, he is a huge personality. Positionally, a top top player.”
Van Dijk still has plenty left to achieve in the game, and winning next season’s Premier League title will surely feature highly on the Holland international’s list of targets.
Liverpool will have to usurp Manchester City in order to do just that, but they way things are looking at the moment, they will have every chance.
