Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has somewhat hit back at Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil today.
The pair go way back; Mourinho was Real Madrid boss when Ozil joined the Spanish giants in 2010, and he played a key role under Mourinho.
When Mourinho left Real for Chelsea in 2013, Ozil then left for Arsenal, with the pair exiting the Bernabeu within months of each other.
Mourinho has always spoken highly of Ozil, and with his Arsenal deal ending this summer, some have wondered whether the unthinkable could happen… Ozil at Tottenham?
Mourinho would probably love to wind up Arsenal, and he has history with Ozil from Real, but the playmaker has ruled out such a move.
Ozil took to Twitter to suggest that he would rather retire than join Tottenham, showing his allegiance to Arsenal despite being cast aside by Mikel Arteta.

Well, you just knew that Mourinho would have something to say, and he responded to the German’s comments today.
Speaking to Football.London, Mourinho merely questioned just why Ozil would think Spurs want him anyway, firing back at his former player in style.
“Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?” said Mourinho, laughing off Ozil’s comments and ruling out a move from his side too.
