Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has suggested to Football.London that Sergio Reguilon will start against Arsenal in the North London derby this weekend.
Spurs will take on Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Reguilon, who joined Tottenham from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020, did not play against LASK in the Europa League on Thursday evening due to injury.
However, Mourinho has said that the 23-year-old Spain international left-back – described as “unstoppable” by former Spain coach Robert Moreno, as quoted on BBC Sport in September 2020 – is available for the match against Arsenal.
Mourinho told Football.London about Reguilon: “I believe so. He had a little problem. He was not available. It was not like I wanted to protect him. He had a problem but it’s the kind of problem that I can say I expect him to play.”

Boost for Tottenham Hotspur
Reguilon has hit the ground running at Tottenham and has already established himself as an important player for the team.
The 23-year-old has provided two assists in six Premier League games and has played twice in the Europa League for the North London club so far this season, according to WhoScored.
The youngster is very good going forward and is defensively solid, and him starting against Arsenal will enhance Tottenham’s chances of winning the North London derby.
