According to Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham have made contact with Juventus over a deal for Aaron Ramsey.
Spurs are keen to make a sensational swoop for the 61-cap Wales international, who used to play for their north London rivals Arsenal.
Interestingly, this news could well be true, as José Mourinho was a huge fan of the 30-year-old back in 2018 while managing Manchester United.
The Sun revealed that the 58-year-old told Ed Woodward he felt Ramsey was better than Paul Pogba, as he looked to overhaul his squad.
Now, nearly three years on, it sounds as if Mourinho is still an admirer of the goalscoring midfielder, who has bagged 40 Premier League goals.

In our view, we can’t see this deal happening.
According to the BBC, Ramsey earns £400,000-a-week in Turin, which is simply too much for Tottenham to pay for a 30-year-old in our opinion.
Additionally, Mourinho already has Giovani Lo Celso to come into the fold on a more regular basis when he regains his fitness.

The Argentine – like Ramsey – enjoys making runs into the box and popping up with a goal or two, so there’s no need for two players who do similar jobs.
Also, it goes without saying that the Welshman might be wary of burning his bridges with Arsenal should he make this move.
He spent 11 years of his career with the Gunners, so there’s certainly a tight bond there.
With all of this considered, we can’t see this happening – even if Mourinho does still think Ramsey is better than Pogba.
