Everton manager Ronald Koeman recently stated his interest in Manchester United youngster Memphis Depay.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has suggested to The Mirror that Everton boss Ronald Koeman should not have spoken publicly about his interest in Memphis Depay.
Koeman recently stated that he is interested in signing Depay from United in the January transfer window.
As quoted by The Mirror, the Everton manager said that if there is any opportunity to recruit the 22-year-old forward, then he will be interested.
United manager Mourinho has criticised Koeman for publicly declaring his interest in the Netherlands international youngster.
“I prefer not to make [such comments],” Mourinho told The Mirror in regard to Koeman’s comments about Depay.
“I think my normal answer is if somebody asks me about a player from another team, my answer is the player is not my player.
“The player belongs to another team, the player belongs to another manager, no comments at all.
“I think that is the ethical answer, when we are always worried about ethics, respect and rules.
“I just say that if it was me making those comments about an Everton player, I would be in trouble.”

Mourinho does have a point, and perhaps Koeman should not have publicly stated his interest in Depay.
The youngster, though, could do with a change, as it is clearly not working out for him at United at the moment.
The former PSV attacker has featured in only four Premier League matches for the Red Devils so far this season.
During the 2015-16 campaign, Depay scored two goals and created 12 chances in 29 league games for United.
United are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment, while Everton are currently seventh.
