Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has told the London Evening Standard that his side have signed an ‘incredible player’ in Sergio Reguilon.
The Spaniard arrived at Spurs from Real Madrid this summer, with Tottenham acting quickly to bring the left-back in after it emerged he was available.
Reguilon has taken no time to make an impact at Spurs, with his dynamic performances already catching the eye.
Reguilon has two assists to his name in his first five appearances for Tottenham, with his rampaging runs down the left really catching the eye.
And Mourinho said: “Reguilon is, especially going forward, an incredible player. He needs also to adapt to the defensive demands of the Premier League. It’s a process.”
Reguilon certainly appears to be a left-back in a very different mould to Ben Davies.

When Davies was stationed on the left last season he was not given much attacking licence and often tucked in to effectively be a third central defender, with Serge Aurier pushed on.
However, Tottenham have decided to commit more men to the attack this term, and Reguilon is allowed to get forward with great regularity.
He already appears to have struck up a good rapport with Harry Kane, and has already established his place in Tottenham’s starting line-up.
