Just when we thought Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger had buried the hatchet, the Tottenham Hotspur boss has fired another shot at the former Arsenal manager.
The two men had multiple heated exchanges during Wenger’s time at Arsenal. Mourinho has a superior record against the Frenchman, and the former Chelsea boss has been pretty vocal about that for many years.
Wenger has been in front of the media a lot during the past few days. The legendary Frenchman is promoting his autobiography, yet many people have noticed Mourinho isn’t mentioned in the book.
The Spurs boss was asked about that in his press conference ahead of his side’s game against West Ham. Mourinho revealed why he thinks Wenger has ignored him.
He told Football London: “Because he never beat me. You are not going to do a chapter about 13 or 14 matches that you never win so why should he speak about me in his book? A book is a thing to make you happy and proud so I perfectly understand the situation.”
Mourinho has never been shy to have a go at Wenger. While Chelsea boss he labelled the Frenchman a “specialist in failure”, something that didn’t go down well with Arsenal supporters.
Wenger is a hugely respected figure in world football and his record on the pitch speaks for itself. While he has had his struggles against Mourinho, the Spurs boss isn’t invincible against his rival.

The two managers have faced each other on 19 occasions in the past two decades. Mourinho has won ten and drawn seven, with Wenger winning two.
Arsenal fans were quick to remind Mourinho of those results on social media. Some branded the Spurs boss as “jealous” or “salty” because he didn’t feature in Wenger’s book.
