Robert Snodgrass continued his excellent run of form on Tuesday night as West Ham United earned a comfortable 3-1 win over Cardiff City – and former Hammers defender Jose Fonte applauded the winger on Instagram.
The 31-year-old made it three assists in two games as he created West Ham’s first of the evening by playing Lucas Perez through on goal, and the Spaniard did the rest by lashing home an effort from 12 yards.
Perez scored again, before Snodgrass whipped in a corner that was headed home by Michail Antonio. This comes after Snodgrass created one of Javier Hernandez’s two goals against Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Scotland international now has two goals and seven assists in 17 outings for the Hammers, and ex-West Ham defender Fonte described the midfielder as “unplayable” on Instagram.
West Ham’s triumph over Neil Warnock’s Cardiff sees them earn back-to-back wins for the first time since January 2017, moving them into 12th place in the Premier League table.
Snodgrass opted to return to West Ham in the summer after a loan spell at Aston Villa, and it seems to have paid off with his work rate impressing Manuel Pellegrini.
The former Leeds United, Hull City and Norwich City winger will be hoping to continue his fine form when the Hammers take on Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
