Jose Enrique has said that Leandro Trossard would be a brilliant coup for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has reported that Tottenham remain ‘genuinely interested’ in signing Trossard.
Interestingly, the renowned journalist had also stated that the Belgian international had been offered to not just Spurs, but the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea over the past 2 months.
However, one can understand why Tottenham remain keen on signing the in-form Leandro Trossard.
In the 2022/2023 Premier League season, Trossard has an impressive 7 goals and 2 assists.
Perhaps most impressively, the 28-year-old has done so while operating in a multitude of positions.
From playing as a left wing-back to as a traditional No.10, out wide and up front, Leandro Trossard would certainly offer Antonio Conte an alternative all across the pitch.
The Brighton mainstay’s versatility, coupled with him starting to add end product to his game would make him a potential masterstroke of an addition from Fabio Paratici.
Jose Enrique, who tends to be partial to a hot take also believe the move makes complete sense.
Jose Enrique rates the potential Leandro Trossard to Tottenham move

Jose Enrique has said that he believes Leandro Trossard to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 would be a brilliant transfer.
“Well, [Leandro Trossard] is [a]free [agent] in the summer and is a fantastic player. He will be a top signing for Tottenham”, Enrique tweeted.
As Jose Enrique says, not only is Leandro Trossard a top player, but the the fact that Tottenham Hotspur can sign him for free in the summer makes this potential switch one that ticks all the boxes.
One would hope for Antonio Conte’s sake that if Trossard joined the club, he settled quicker than the previous player to join Tottenham from Brighton.
