Jose Enrique played alongside the now thriving Jordan Henderson during his time at Liverpool.

Jose Enrique has claimed that ‘nobody’ can say anything about Jordan Henderson now after he proved people wrong by winning the Champions League with Liverpool in June.
The former Reds left-back claimed that Henderson ‘took so much’ during the early part of his Liverpool career because ‘everyone’ was comparing him with Steven Gerrard.
Whilst Henderson did endure difficult momentS during his early years at Anfield, since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival, he has taken his game to another level.
Speaking to Football Centre on Sky Sports News (16/10/2019 at 10:20 am), Enrique stated that he was most happy for Henderson when Liverpool won the Champions League in Madrid.
“He has done amazing for the club,” Enrique told Sky Sports News. “It was very difficult for him when Stevie [Gerrard] left. Everyone was comparing him all the time with Stevie.
“After winning the Champions League, I have to be honest because he is a friend of mine, I was happy for the club, the fans and happy for everyone. But I was most happy for Henderson because he took so much of everyone comparing him with Stevie, everything like that and there is so much pressure on that. He has won the Champions League and nobody can say anything now.
“They do now [give him the credit he deserves]. Maybe for a while they didn’t, but for me, he has always been a top player. A player that always gives everything and he’s a top captain as well. He’s very positive and a very important player for the club now.”

Not only is Henderson thriving for Liverpool now, but he is also proving his worth on the international stage with England.
But Henderson will not want to stop there because he will want to add a Premier League title to his name and a trophy with England.
The most likely is winning the Premier League with Liverpool, who are currently sitting top of the tree after eight games played.
