Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has a bit of explaining to do, it seems.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were thumped 7-2 by Aston Villa last weekend in a game where goalkeeper Adrian didn’t cover himself in glory for the Reds.

The Spaniard has been deputising for the injured Alisson, and Grujic, who later joined Porto on a season-long loan, has made some questionable comments about Adrian on Instagram.

Ollie Watkins scored a hat-trick against the Premier League champions last week and the Serbian midfielder said on social media that the Villans hitman ‘probably ended Adrian’s career at LFC’.

By virtue of the fact that Grujic is only on loan from Liverpool, and hadn’t even left at the time of Watkins’s treble, they’re some pretty odd comments to make about a team-mate.

And here’s how the club’s former left-back Jose Enrique reacted on Instagram:

Enrique is spot-on in saying that it ‘makes no sense’ for Grujic to post what he did.

The 24-year-old, who was Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool manager in January of 2016, might well be back at Melwood next summer, alongside Adrian, and there’s bound to be a little bit of awkwardness on the back of this.
