Sheffield Wednesday are currently in 15th place in the Championship table.

Jos Luhukay has admitted to the Sheffield Star that Sheffield Wednesday’s squad is too old.
Luhukay has actually tried to promote some of Wednesday’s youngsters since he took charge at Hillsborough.
However, the 55-year-old boss admits that the squad he was left by Carlos Carvalhal was too old, and he feels that problem still exists.
“Yeah, but that is not new,” Luhukay said, when asked if the average age of Wednesday’s squad was too high.
“When I came, we had an old squad with all the players and that has not changed.”
Wednesday’s ageing squad has been exposed this season, with a number of players currently out injured.

Luhukay feels that their recoveries would have been swifter, if they still had youth on their side.
Wednesday have still managed to cope fairly well with a sizeable injury list, although their recent results have been less encouraging.
The Owls have lost their last three matches on the bounce to slip down into 15th place in the Championship table.
Wednesday are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Norwich City at Hillsborough.
