Nuhiu has scored or assisted more goals than any Championship player since Luhukay became manager of Sheffield Wednesday in January.

Jos Luhukay, the Sheffield Wednesday manager, has told BBC Radio Sheffield he thinks Atdhe Nuhiu will sign a new contract at Hillsborough.
And the Dutchman said he expects to have an update on the future of Nuhiu, who ended to campaign as Wednesday’s top scorer, in the next few days.
Speaking to the Sheffield Star after the Owls’ 5-1 win against Norwich City on Sunday – in which he scored a hat-trick – the Kosovan striker said he hoped a ‘solution’ can be found when negotiations resume this week, but warned that the Yorkshire club ‘need to fight’ for his signature.

However, Luhukay said: “Personally I think Atdhe will stay with us. He has a good feeling, he feels well here in Sheffield, in the club and with the team. I think in the next days we know where we’re going with that.
“We hope that he signs for us and has a positive future.”
Nuhiu was out of favour and bound for the exit before Luhukay’s January arrival at Hillsborough, but has seized upon injuries to Gary Hooper and Steven Fletcher to become a mainstay in the Wednesday side since then.
Luhukay has taken charge of 19 league matches as Owls boss, in which Nuhiu has scored or assisted 14 goals – more than any Championship player throughout the same period.
