Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to what Roberto Mancini has said about Chelsea and Italy midfielder Jorginho.

Roberto Mancini comments

The BBC Match of the Day presenter has reminded Italy head coach Mancini that it was Leicester City, and not Chelsea, who won the FA Cup last season.

As quoted in beIN SPORTS, former Manchester City boss Mancini has said that Jorginho deserves to win the Ballon d’Or because “he won Champions League, Euro Cup and FA Cup”.

Gary Lineker reacts

Former Leicester striker Lineker was pointed out on Twitter that it was not Chelsea who won the FA Cup.

It was, in fact, Leicester who clinched the prestigious cup competition.

The Foxes defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup final last season.

Jorginho has been brilliant for Chelsea and Italy over the past few months, winning the Champions League and the 2020 European Championship.

There is a very good chance that the 29-year-old – who cost Chelsea £50 million in transfer fee in the summer of 2018, as reported by Sky Sports – will win the Ballon d’Or.

However, as Lineker points out, Jorginho did not win the FA Cup.

Leicester will claim that, and rightly so.

No one can take that away from the Leicester fans.
