Following his January transfer from Chelsea, Jorginho has reacted on Instagram to his debut for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta’s side 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday by stating ‘not the way I wanted’.

Chelsea legend John Terry, who recently slammed Pier Morgan’s comments about Graham Potter’s side, also reacted to the defeat on Twitter with one simple emoji.

Arsenal fan and TV presenter Piers Morgan labelled the team’s performance as ‘dismal’ and how they were ‘bullied around’ by the Premier League strugglers, which drew the following response from John Terry.

JORGINHO’S ARSENAL DEBUT

The Italy midfielder was brought on moments before Everton scored through a James Tarkowski header when he replaced Thomas Partey in the middle of the park.

The player himself couldn’t do anything about that set-piece masterclass from Sean Dyche’s men, but it was a disastrous start to Jorginho’s Arsenal career, nonetheless.

Either way, he is hoping for better days ahead, as he posted the following message on his IG: ‘Not the way I wanted the first one to be, but we bounce back and push even more all together 💪🏻 Thank you for the support’.

THE DYCHE EFFECT

There’s no doubt that Sean Dyche’s presence and recent arrival played a massive part in Everton picking up a much-needed three points.

Under Frank Lampard, given how the team was performing, then they probably would have been eaten alive by the Premier League leaders.

But it just goes to show how a change in manager, mindset, words, tactics and just feeling around the place can transform a team in next to no time.
