Jorge Mendes is attempting to get Joao Felix to Manchester City after pushing the Atletico Madrid striker towards the Etihad Stadium.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who claim that Mendes has been in contact with City for days over Felix.
Pep Guardiola is understood to be a fan, but City have also looked into signing another Portuguese attacker in AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.
Felix wants to leave Atletico Madrid
Spanish newspaper AS report that Joao Felix wants to leave in January – but Atletico won’t let him go as things stand.
Atletico at least don’t want to take less than the €127million (£108million) they paid for Felix in 2019.
With just three La Liga starts this season, Felix just isn’t a key man in Diego Simeone’s plans.
You can therefore hardly blame Felix for fancying a move – especially if City are offering an escape route.

Felix can help solve City’s striker conundrum
City went into the season without a new striker after losing Sergio Aguero. Whilst City still look swashbuckling going forward, they sometimes miss that striker threat.
Felix isn’t quite an Aguero, but he would at least makes sense in terms of a false nine profile.
Billed as ‘magic’ back in Portugal, Felix is far from a lost cause at 22.
Felix is technically impressive but just hasn’t worked out in Simeone’s style. Felix suits Pep Guardiola’s style much better, and City could make their move.
