Conor McGregor has been linked with a new opponent in recent times regarding the UFC White House event.
Michael Chandler has responded to Dana White’s remarks, with the UFC president no longer appearing interested in making that fight happen.
The match-up had originally been lined up for UFC 303 two years ago and was expected by many to headline the June card in Washington D.C.
Jorge Masvidal has emerged as another possible opponent for McGregor, suggesting fans can expect news about his next move soon.
Masvidal’s manager added to the speculation by offering an update and throwing another name into the mix.
Ali Abdelaziz suggests Conor McGregor vs Justin Gaethje for White House card

There is plenty of interest already in the possibility of McGregor going up against Masvidal. It would be an easy fight to make, and the UFC could do it anytime they wanted.
Both fighters have been big personalities in the sport who have made their mark inside the Octagon, and they are both capable of creating more classic moments even now.
One person likely to play a key role in shaping the UFC White House card is Ali Abdelaziz, head of Dominance MMA, who also happens to manage Masvidal.
Not every fighter on his roster will get a spot. It is already clear that Islam Makhachev will not be fighting at that particular event, but several others are in line for consideration.
During an interview with Submission Radio, Abdelaziz addressed the possibility of Masvidal fighting McGregor before discussing another idea when asked about what could come next for Justin Gaethje after UFC 324.
“If Ilia Topuria doesn’t want [it], he should be stripped and Justin will fight Arman Tsarukyan. Or, screw the interim belt. Grudge match, June 14th. America’s 250th birthday. Justin Gaethje vs Conor McGregor. What about that?
“Bring an Irish drunk guy to the White House… fight Justin Gaethje. [The] fight Conor has been running from for all his life but I think right now, he doesn’t have options.”
Abdelaziz open to Masvidal-McGregor happening outside of UFC
Abdelaziz has cast some doubt over whether McGregor will step into the Octagon again, let alone against Masvidal.
The manager believes ‘Gamebred’ would accept the fight, but he also questioned whether the Irishman still has the same sway within the promotion as he once did.
“He’s [McGregor] delusional but also he’s a big draw so I don’t know if they’re going to be able to pay him or not pay him but the Masvidal fight is always here,” Abdelaziz told Submission Radio.
While their paths might not cross inside the Octagon, Abdelaziz did mention that a bare-knuckle boxing match could be on the cards in the future.
