Irrespective of what league they find themselves in next season, Nottingham Forest seemingly have another youngster ready to make a first team spot his own in Jorge Grant.

The Reds are currently embroiled in a Championship relegation battle, and find themselves just four points above the drop zone, but Grant is giving fans cause for optimism with his flying form on loan at Notts County.

The 22-year-old midfielder hasn’t taken long to show his worth across the river Trent at Meadow Lane, and has three goals in just five League Two matches – the latest being a winner against promotion challenging Plymouth Argyle, which Notts won 1-0.

Grant has featured six times for Forest this season, with former boss Philippe Montanier believing that the talented midfielder has a future at The City Ground, but maybe had to be introduced sparingly.

Grant burst onto the scene with a goal on his first start for Forest, against Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur no less, in a League Cup tie which the Reds ultimately lost 3-1.

However, going by this loan spell, it seems that Forest fans can look forward to seeing Grant slot into their midfield next season, and maybe even with a few goals to his name as well.
