Jorge Cadete is open to returning to Celtic as a coach and working with manager Brendan Rodgers.

Cadete had a spell at Celtic in 1996-97 and was quite successful during his time at the Glasgow giants.
The 49-year-old former Portugal international striker has revealed that he has spoken to current Hoops’ manager Rodgers about a coaching role at the club.

Cadete told The Scottish Sun about his recent meeting with Rodgers: “We spoke about my time at the club and I also told Brendan that if he needs a striker coach, I am available.
“Ian Rush did that job at Liverpool and I believe that — like goalkeeping — it is a specialist area.
“Celtic have some very good strikers. I have been very impressed with Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths.
“But I believe I could help to make them even better with my experience and knowledge.”

Good idea?
It would not be a bad idea of Rodgers to include Cadete as part of his coaching staff next season.
As the former Portugal international striker suggests, he would bring something else to the team and would be able to improve the strikers even more.
Celtic are dominating Scottish football at the moment, but there is some way to go before they can make themselves regulars in the Champions League (group stage).
Another treble
Celtic won the domestic treble last season, and the Glasgow giants look set to repeat their heroics this campaign as well.
The Hoops have already won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup, and have also reached the final of the Scottish Cup this season.
