The Crystal Palace midfielder was a rumoured Leeds United target back in August.

Though Jordon Mutch’s fortunes may have marginally improved since Roy Hodgson took over at Crystal Palace, there’s a part of the Eagles midfielder likely to wish he’d gotten his move to Leeds United.
The 25-year-old was linked with the Yorkshire side in August, albeit by the Sun, however nothing came of the Whites’ alleged interest and he remained a Palace player, despite talk of a deadline day switch to Burton Albion.
Nevertheless, Mutch is still awaiting his first appearance of the season, although he has been named as a substitute in each of the Croydon club’s last two fixtures in league and cup – which is more than he was getting under Frank de Boer.

Had he moved to Leeds, there’s a good chance the player, who cost Palace £5.75 million in January 2015, would have seen a lot more action – especially after a couple of questionable displays from Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O’Kane at the weekend, albeit having been afflicted by minor injuries.
At this stage, a player like Mutch, who ended last season at beaten play-off finalists, Reading, and whose CV features a Championship title with Cardiff City, could be extremely useful to Leeds.

And while head coach Thomas Christiansen does have Mateusz Klich, Ronaldo Vieira and Vurnon Anita available should he wish to mix things up after the international mistake, if those experiments fail, Mutch may not be the only one wishing his Elland Road move had materialised.
