Aston Villa loaned Jordan Veretout out to St. Etienne last season, and there seems to be no way back for him in Steve Bruce’s side.
Veretout may have to join in with Villa’s pre-season training, if Steve Bruce’s side cannot find a buyer in the coming days.
The midfielder is believed to have been put up for sale by Villa.

And Veretout has suggested that he wants to leave Villa Park this summer.
“I belong to Aston Villa. I have a contract with them. I can not do anything. I am obliged to go back there for the preparation,” Veretout said.
“My wish is not to stay there, everybody knows.”
Veretout has spent the last season out on loan at St. Etienne, and he has impressed back in French football.
There have been some Villa fans suggesting that they would like him to return, but that seems a slim possibility.
The 24-year-old joined the claret and blues back in 2015, but he has failed to make much of an impact with the Midlands club.
During his spell with St. Etienne, Veretout made 43 appearances – scoring on four occasions and claiming five assists.
