The Owls player has had little game time at Hillsborough recently but did well as Lee Bullen brought him back for the Carabao Cup game at the Millers.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jordan Thorniley has taken to Twitter with a message for the Owls fanbase following his first competitive appearance of the season as the Hillsborough side ran out 1-0 winners at Rotherham United in the Carabao Cup second round.
The two South Yorkshire sides faced off at the New York Stadium but it was effectively a war of attrition for most of the encounter, and as the clock ticked into injury time, it looked to be heading for a stalemate and a penalty shootout.
However, the Millers failed to deal with a Wednesday corner and the ball was crossed back into danger, where Atdhe Nuhiu reacted quickest to rifle the ball high into the net for a 96th-minute winner to put the Owls in the next round.
Wednesday boss Lee Bullen made nine changes for the game (The Star), with Thorniley drafted into central defence alongside debutant David Bates, the Scotland international on a season-long loan from German club Hamburg.
Following the game, Thorniley posted the following message on Twitter and some Wednesday fans took the time to praise the player for his efforts on the night:
Up next for Wednesday is Saturday’s Championship meeting with Queens Park Rangers at Hillsborough, while their Carabao Cup third-round tie at home against Everton takes place in late September.
