Rossiter returned to action for Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Jordan Rossiter has discussed earning a new contract at Rangers to STV after finally making his first league appearance of the season during The Gers’ 4-1 win over Hamilton on Sunday afternoon.
Rossiter, 21, had appeared for Rangers against Ayr in the 4-0 Scottish League Cup win and was a surprise starter for the Gers against Martin Canning’s side – which Rangers won 4-1.
The former Liverpool man, who played alongside Steven Gerrard at Anfield, lasted 82 minutes of the win at the SuperSeal Stadium. Goals from Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos and a brace from James Tavernier.
Rossiter spoke after the win, which pushed the Gers into fifth place and only five points behind table toppers Hearts, ad discussed his future and a potential new deal.
“It’s been a tough road and I just want to pay everyone back who has been with me all the way,” Rossiter said. “I don’t think about contracts or anything like that I just want to get back playing football and whatever happens after that happens.
“I just want to be happy on the pitch.”

Rossiter has a contract at Rangers until the summer of 2020, and remains way down the pecking order behind the likes of Lassana Coulibaly, Scott Arfield, Ovie Ejaria, Ryan Jack and Andy Halliday.
But his return to the side could see him begin to start breaking back into the side, despite making just 13 Rangers appearances since joining the club under Mark Warburton in the summer of 2016.
