Jordan Rhodes may be a prolific source of goals for Blackburn Rovers, but he tops rivals from Norwich City and Derby County in terms of chances missed.
Jordan Rhodes has broken the 20-goal barrier in each of the last five seasons – smashing it back in 2011/12 as he found the target 40 times for Huddersfield Town.
It was those efforts that convinced Blackburn Rovers to spend big on his services, and they have not been disappointed.
The Scotland international remains on course to stretch his impressive streak in 2014/15, with nine efforts finding the back of the net in all competitions.
It is, however, surprising to find that a man who has been so prolific in recent times is also the man to have squandered the most ‘big chances’ in the Championship this season.
He will point to the fact that you have to put yourself in the right positions to waste an opportunity and that he will back himself to beat the keeper more often than not.

Rhodes is also in good company when it comes to missing out on golden opportunities, with some leading names from the second-tier striking pool sitting alongside him at the top of the charts.
Derby County’s Chris Martin has been a revelation in recent times, Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson is a highly-rated talent and Lewis Grabban was much sought-after before joining Norwich City last summer.
Andre Gray and Clayton Donaldson have also impressed for Brentford and Birmingham City respectively, and all of those mentioned above will believe that they can fill their boots over the coming weeks if chances continue to come their way.
